Horsfield, Arthur Arthur was a good bloke. Always tried for Watford, in a poor team/club. Hope life has treated him ok.

Horsfield, Arthur Played at school with Arthur - he was a year older than me but Rutherford Grammar had house matches which combined two years. All we had to do was give Arthur the ball. He was so much better than everyone else and the opposition goalie had no chance. We always won! Happy memories.

Horsfield, Arthur I remember the song about him at Middlesbrough. We all agree Horsefield is better than Pele. My dad was on the N bus to Park End in Middlesbrough on a late night Arthur got on bus and the passengers sang the song and he joined in. Or so my dad said after he had consumed 5 pints.

Horsfield, Arthur I met him a few months ago while he was on holiday In La Duquesa, Spain and we talked quite a bit about football.. I'm a Tottenham fan since 1969 and he was telling me that he scored the winner for Newcastle United at White Hart Lane In 1969.. Recently there was a re-run of an old Swindon Town match on a programme called 'The Big Match' on channel 4 and Arthur was playing for Swindon.. A very strange thing happened during that match, the crossbar actually broke... Arthur played very well.. A nice guy but most people from the North East are... Wishing Newcastle United a successful 2020...

Arthur I have found Arthur and Maria's, his wife names on historical records of our house deeds. I read his Wikipedia page - it look like they bought it brand new in 1971 when he played for Swindon.

Horsfield, Arthur I remember him giving me his autograph at the Charlton Catholic club as a very young boy: he made my day, because I was so shy. All the people were telling me his a professional footballer, and a very nice guy: and was and is. Good luck to him.

Arthur I remember Arthur fondly when I was a young child with my dad Stanley Lapper. My dad was a member of the viewpoint club in riverview Park and used to drink in there regularly during the late70s early 80s. I went to Thames View school next door to the club and Arthur bless him was the manager or the boss as we called him. I have only recently appreciated the footballer he was and the effort he put in at Charlton my beloved. A great man. I also played pool with John hessenthaler and his older brother Andy in the same club. Andy later went on to manage Gillingham of course. His mum was a friend of my mum and came round on her bike to help with my birth in a midwife kind of way in May 69.
