Biography: The success of Dennis Irwin must cause a few blushes at Leeds United. They let him join Oldham Athletic in May 1996 after only 72 league starts at Elland Road. Three years later, he was valued at £650,000 when he moved from Boundary Park to Old Trafford. The years since his move in June 1990 have proved even this to be a bargain price for the acquisition of one of the most consistent performers in the Football League. By the time he left, he did so with seven Premier League titles to his name. Three FA Cups, a League Cup, Cup Winners Cup, Champions League, Super Cup, Intercontinental Cup and three Charity Shields. As a Republic of Ireland international, he represented his country on 56 occasions and scored four goals. Denis has been working as a presenter on MUTV since 2004. He has also done some work for RTE in his native Ireland.
