Biography: Was almost 30 when he arrived at Stamford Bridge for £30,000 to add competition for places with Kerry Dixon and David Speedie. Part of a clear out by Rangers boss John Greig, he never really settled in West London. Had a spell on loan at Dundee United before going back to Ibrox 18 months after his departure, for £25,000. A legend north of the border, he has carved out a career in the media mainly for BBC Scotland and Radio Clyde.
