Keeley, Glenn Hi Glenn. Just been watching your superb goal line clearance V Derby for the Toon in that epic 4/3 victory at home. I vividly recall it but watching it again is quite something special.!!! My best mate and myself were disappointed when you left as we were part of the silent majority of fans who thought that Alan "Bambi" Gowling, Geoff "Multi" Nulty, the Gingernut Craig and yourself (known as the Kaiser) were top pros who went for results first, many you did get and must have made the "General Lee" a very happy gaffer. Its a pity that the petty politics going on as ever had to spoil it all as we were dark horses for the league in 76 until the General was forced out. Thank you Glenn for those special days. Allan Z (a real fan of over 50 yrs)!

Keeley, Glenn The Rolls Royce of defenders, who brought class and elegance to the art of defending unlike those cloggers Ron Harris and Pat Howard.

Keeley, Glenn Yes Allan, I agree with you, the Kaiser was a real hero of mine, not like that overpaid over rated bandy legged bug time supergob. I had a “super Glenn, real men” scarf as well. Took it to an away game but with twangers amd horse , but lost it in the ram van on way home!! Happy days Glenn fella, my 1st ever toon hero, until Wes Saunders came along. United mr keeley United mr keeley United mrs Stevens on the wing!!!

We are currently working on Footballers from the Borough who have played professionally. Although we can pick up most of your career from the internet we would like to know about your time growing up in Basildon...ie: when did your parents move to Basildon, What Local schools and clubs you went to...when were you first spotted and anything else of interest you might think off...It would be great if you could be in touch...Regards Ken Porter - Chair, Basildon Borough Heritage group and Laindon and District Community Archive...Keep Safe
