Kerfoot, Eric We lived in Waterloo Ashton under Lyne in the early 1950s. Eric and his family lived 2 doors away from us on Downshaw road on a small council estate. He would when he could play football with a few of us behind our houses on a small patch of rough grass. The highlight one day for us was when John Charles jumped over Erics fence and started playing with us we were so excited because we knew who he was They both kicked around with us for quite a few minutes. Erics young boy was also with us. What a difference from todays players. To get to Leeds he would catch our local bus to go to the railway station. Great memories. Tony Barker.
