Biography: Signed for £1.6 million from Bordeaux, he was able to play in a number of defensive and midfield positions. A valuable asset, but was sent off in only his second appearance. Went onto win League Cup and Charity Shield winner's medals before Claudio Ranieri deemed him to be surplus to requirements. Played his first and last games for the club against Manchester United. After retiring in 2003, he became a member of the French Beach Football squad. Now lives in the South of France and has invested in a company that sells hardware for motor homes.
