Lee, Francis I was at school with Franny Lee at Horwich Junior Tech 1957 to 1960. I always seem to be on the opposing team during school games. I just kept out of his way as it was like playing against a bulldozer ouch!

Lee, Francis What an entertaining player. I am a ‘bloody southerner’ , Charlton Athletic supporter! but loved watching this fantastic explosive player. I will never forget being in a country hotel in or very near Wilmslow, probably mid eighties? when I looked up and saw this barrel chested man - it was Franny - I am glad that I didn’t approach him as I can only imagine how annoying this can be. Thank you for the memories of a fantastic footballer

Lee, Francis I have been an armchair fan of Man City for 51 years and loved to go to the club. Francis was one of my favourite players. Awesome player - dynamic! I have his autograph in my collection and would never sell it ever.

Lee, Francis In 1968 I was a catering salesman for Smiths Crisps. We had just introduced a brand new flavour,Tomato Sauce! At the same time we produced Quavers. I called at the Maine Rd canteen, Francis was sat with Colin Bell and I handed them samples of all. They teased me a little but agreed the new flavour was great and Quavers went down a treat! Made my day, two nice guys and great footballers.

Lee, Francis We went to the same primary school and my boast is that I kept him out of the school team!!! At the beginning of our married lives Francis was my neighbour before he became very rich and well known.
He was always very friendly and modest.

Lee, Francis Francis Lee enjoyed fishing holidays in Pitlochry. My mum's cousin met him, and he kindly gave her a signed photograph for me. That was more than forty years ago, I still have it to this day.
