Biography: Worked for a central heating company in Lewisham. He lived in the same house for many years, in fact it was Dave Bassett who sold him the insurance policy when it was purchased. Also spent his wedding night with Harry Bassett in a Huddersfield hotel, after getting married the day before a game, and was then driven up to Yorkshire in Ron Noades' Rolls Royce.

Leslie, John John was a fantastic footballer who played in my team Brampton Villa for about a season who were in the Kent Amateur league during the mid 70's. He played for us for one season after missing many years playing due to a serious injury I think he had been at Charlton as a youngster but not sure why it didn't workout.I think he also completed a goldsmiths apprenticeship which may have interrupted his football, We won the league and Kent Cup but folded in the late 70's. He was a class above the rest of us.
