George Livingstone

Birthplace: Dumbarton, Scotland

Position: Inside-forward/or Wing-half

Biography: Played for both United and City, and Rangers and Celtic in Scotland, was banned as part of the illegal payments scandal in 1906, was signed by United three years later and scored twice against City on his debut. He missed out on the 1909 FA Cup Final but played 10 games when they secured the League title a year later, and went on to become player coach for the reserves before the Great War. After the war, he managed Dumbarton and Clydebank before having lengthy spells as trainer at Rangers and Bradford. He retired to Dumbartonshire in 1935 and he lived there until his death, aged 74, in 1950.
