Birthplace: Banbridge, Northern Ireland

Position: Midfielder

Biography: A midfield player he played in the Football League between 1967-74. He won 6 Caps for Northern Ireland between 1970-73. Injuries ended his playing career in England in 1974 aged only 23. He emigrated to Australia and played semi-professional football in the Australian Soccer League for a number of years. Apart from coming back to England with his son and daughters between 1985-88 he has lived permanently in Melbourne. He was in stock control in the car business followed by a job in a warehouse. For the past twelve years he has been a Supervisor for a logistics company.

I am still in contact with Irene and Ronnie albeit only Christmas cards and sadly to let them no that your Uncle Sam passed away quite awhile ago now .Just wondering how you are and where you are now x

Lutton, Bertie It's interesting to read things like this, Bertie Lutton is my great uncle although never meeting him (yet). It just gives me a bit more of who he is.
