Lynn, Stan Watched Stan play for Birmingham Res in a Football Combination Match around about 1963 when Birmingham visited Elm Park, Stan had a tremendous left foot and was taking Birmingham free kicks 10 yds outside there penalty area and landing them in Readings box, the longest kicker of a football I have ever seen. Happy Days!

Donald Drew my brother donald drew played for accrington stanley in the early 50s jjust trying to find more info,

Lynn, Stan Played squash with sSan when he was at Lucas. When my dad found out who he was amazed as he was idolised by him in his Villa days. Even in his early sixties and me in my mid twenties I never took even one game (squash) from him. A great bloke!

LYNN, Stan I knew Stan, I went to school with his son Eric at Great Barr comprehensive school. Eric showed no interest in football whatsoever even though his Dad tried to pass on his skills. But Eric was a brilliant artist and spent most of his time drawing. I remember Stan and Eric taking me to the blues ground to see them play... I was a Villa fan .. wonder what happened to Eric ? Must have been involved in design/ painting / graphics.

Lynn, Stan After retiting from football, Stan had a newsagents shop in Perry Barr for some years
