Macari, Lou Lou Macari was my hero and my idol when i was younger. My nickname was Lou at school.
I took my kids to Old Trafford a few years ago and my friend from school came with us. We had reserved parking at the ground, but couldn't seem to find our car park area. My pal saw a guy walking across an open area outside the ground and he said to me "go and ask that guy". I got out the car and walked towards this man and realised, as he got closer, that it was in fact Lou Macari. I said can you help me find Car Park D and he helped me. I said you're Lou Macari aren't you? He joked and said "Yeah but don't say it too loudly, I'll be mobbed" LOL. I told him about my nickname at school and that my school friend and my kids were in the car and he came over and said hello to them. He was a true Gentlemen and a Scholar! When I got back into the car my pal asked if I had got a selfie with my hero. DAMN IT. I was star struck.

Macari, Lou My all time hero! Never met him though. I was only 12/13 and driving back from a break in my dad's car. Fell asleep an dad thought it would be funny to wake me up and tell me that Macari had just overtaken us. For next 20 minutes..my dad followed a Mercedes on the M62. I got him to drive at 60mph but we lost the Merc. 20 years later..my dad admitted that it was a joke as he wanted me awake so I'd open the garage door when we arrived home?!
