Biography: Began his career at Huddersfield Town but left in 1972 for local rivals Barnsley. He stopped playing in 1975. Mahoney still lives in Netherton, Huddersfield presumabely retired.

Mahoney, Brian I played in goal for Durham County schools FA.with Brian, he played in the first 2 games season 1966/67. He played against Northumberland at the Rising Sun, Wallsend and against Lancashire at Bishop Aucklands Kingsway ground.
