Andy Malcolm

Andy Malcolm

Clubs played for: West Ham United, Chelsea, QPR (1950-1964),

Born: 1933

Birthplace: Upton Park, London

Position: Right Wing-half

Biography: Was signed by Tommy Docherty early in his reign when it became obvious that he had a battle against relegation on his hands, so Ron Tindall plus £10,000 was sent to Upton Park. Immediately he was appointed skipper in the absence of Peter Sillett, but all too soon, it became obvious that relegation was inevitable. There was to be no place for him in the long term at Stamford Bridge and following a contract dispute with Docherty, he was sold to QPR in October 1962. Ran three pubs in Essex but has been living in Port Elizabeth in South Africa since 1986.
