Mallalieu, Tony Tony and I became great friends from starting High School 1958 until he left Rhyl to join Man Utd 1965. We sat next to each other in every class and played football for the School, Streets League and Rhyl FC Teams. Tony went on to represent Rhyl first team in the then excellent Cheshire League at center forward before being sighed by Utd. We both had paper rounds during our school days and used the earnings to go to many Everton FC league matches. Tony was excellent at most sports and on one County Sports Days he won the 110, 220 yards sprints, the long jump and high jump. Unbelievable
