Position: Defender

Biography: Former Manchester United Amateur and England 'B' international. Settled in the south after being de-mobbed from the Army and played for Brighton and Cardiff before Eddie Lever paid the Welsh club £14,000 to bring him to Fratton Park. A reliable Left-back, he loved to venture forward and had a cracking shot. After retiring as a player he joined the staff at Sheffield Wednesday but then coached in Greece, Turkey and Israel, where he had a spell working with the national squad. Jack has now returned to the south coast and lives in retirement is Seaford, East Sussex.
