David Ferguson I saw my first football match when, aged eight, I went to Highfield Road with my dad. The game was 0-0 against Colchester but it was memorable for a couple of outstanding saves from Coventry's young goalkeeper, playing his first game.

Matthews, Reginald D I remember him walking out towards the Osmaston End for the second half against Peterborough with a fag in his mouth. A very likable goalkeeper.

Matthews, Reginald D He was the first goalkeeper I ever saw playing for the rams and I remember him coming out for the ball and absolutely flattening the opposing forward(not sure who he was but he knew who Reg Matthews was that day!!!)
