Birthplace: Belfast, Northern Ireland

Position: Midfielder

Biography: Was regularly used as an effective substitute during his stay at Old Trafford after being discovered by Northern Ireland scout, Billy Behan. Made his debut during the Second Division promotion winning season, a sub in the 1976 and 1977 FA Cup Finals, he earned the nickname of 'Roadrunner' for his endless running. But he could never quite hold down a regular place in the starting line and left to link up with Tommy Docherty at QPR in a £200,000 deal in August 1979. Northern Ireland international, managed Hartlepool and Carlisle and was a consultant for Major League Soccer and Boca Juniors. Is now a successful businessman in County Durham owning welding consumables company, Weldmore Ltd, and cutting tools distributor, Tallentire Tooling Ltd.
