McGrath, Chris I worked at Glaxo in the late 80s and witnessed the following . The manufacturing guys were organising a football game against the warehouse. They couldn’t get 11 players. They didn’t really want the temporary staff playing, and there was a guy from Northern Ireland who kept himself to himself. Frustratingly the football captain then asked “I don’t suppose any you “temps” are any good at football”. The Northern Irish fella piped up and said he had played a bit. The football captain said in a sneering manner “so who have you played for then” , to which the quiet temp replied “Manchester United in Northern Ireland actually” . Incredulity followed when they suddenly realised he was that ‘Chris McGraph’ and needless to say he was man of the match.
