Birthplace: West Benhar, North Lanarkshire, Scotland

Position: Wing-half /Inside-forward

Biography: Played his first game for Bolton against United and when he became one of four deadline day signings in March 1934, he found himself pitched straight into a relegation battle from Division Two. He played a full part in winning the Second Division title two years later, his career was interrupted by the Second World War. He worked in Trafford Park after the War and was a regular at Old Trafford.
