Morley, Trevor The first season my father took me to a professional football game was during Northampton Town FC's 1986/87 Fourth Division Championship-winning season. I was 11 years old and cannot even remember who they were playing, but it was a night game and I was so mesmerised with how bright the pitch was. The place looked magic. I was obsessed with that team and Trevor Morley was my hero. He had a big bushy perm and moustache, which was ultra-fashionable at the time (think Arsenio Hall in the film 'Coming to America' with Eddie Murphy). I wanted my hair just like his and I think there were about 4 players in that team who sported this look and the funny thing is they probably all look back and cringe at the sight. To me now, he is barely recognisable and in my memories he will always look the way he did when that winning team captured my young imagination.
