Mortensen, Stan I met Stan Mortensen in The Griddle cafe in Blackpool in the eighties. He said he was always a bit nervous about playing Bolton Wanderers as Bolton had such a large and hard defence. They were well known for shoving players into the lower lever cinder track at Burnden Park. He said the one he feared the most was Tommy Banks. "Morty" was a real gentleman, very modest and always ready to chat about football and answer questions.
