Remi Moses

Remi Moses

Clubs played for: West Bromwich Albion, Manchester United. (1979-1987)

Born: 1960

Birthplace: Manchester

Position: Midfielder

Biography: Remi Moses's signature for the club in 1981 was significant on two counts. For Manchester born Remi, it was a homecoming. For the club, it meant buying the first black player to pull on the famous jersey for a league match. The £650,000 paid to West Bromwich albion purchased a tenacious England Under 23 midfielder. His United career was hit by injury and bad luck. A sending off against Arsenal cost him a place in the 1983 FA Cup Final, and sadly he was forced to quit through injury when only 27, with only a League Cup runners up medal to show for his efforts. Since retiring from the game he has been spending his time buying and selling properties in Manchester and has coached an inline skating team. Has also coached for a Community group, Unity, in the Community running Old Trafford FC.
