Position: Inside-forward

Biography: His United career exploded into life three games after his £800 move from Arbroath, when he scored a five minute hat trick against Barnsley in September 1934. He was the leading scorer with 21 goals in 42 games when United were crowned Division Two Champions two years later. He was sold to powerful Preston for £5,000 in September 1937. Had a two year spell as trainer at Southport after he finished his career after leaving Haigh Avenue. He returned to his native Aberdeen to open a grocery business and later worked as a PT instructor. He died in March 2001, aged 88.
