Birthplace: Woolston, Southampton

Position: Right-back

Biography: Southampton born right back, parker went on to play over 250 games for both Southampton and then Arsenal picking up just the one England cap in the process, following his sucessful playing career he moved into management initially with Norwich gaining promotion from the Third Division South. He then returned to Saints as manager in 1937 he rebuilt the side prior to WWII including the capture of his former Norwich charge Ted Bates. Then WWII broke out and his team dispersed. He left Saints in 1943 to return to Norwich for a second spell after which he retired from football and returned home to Southampton to work for Lloyds registry a position he held briefly in 1943.. when he retired in 1963 he toook on a scouting role for Saints under Ted Bates. He died in Southampton aged 89 in 1987
