Position: Midfielder/Striker

Biography: Joined the Blues for £1.25 million from Newcastle United in August 1993 after he fell out with the club's management at St James's Park. The investment proved to be money well spent, a willing worker, he hit the crossbar from 25 yards in the 1994 FA Cup Final and finished joint top scorer with 14 goals in the same season, to prove his usefulness in front of goat Returned to one of his previous clubs, QPR, for £ lmillion in 1996 after losing his place to Roberto Di Matteo. Ended his playing career at Charlton Athletic in 2001 and became a pundit with the BBC. He decided to quit the role and dedicate more time to religion with view to becoming a Christian minister. This prompted a move to Canada to take a three-year masters course in Divinity at Ambrose Seminary. Now lives with his family in the Rocky Mountains having already studied theology at Ridley Hall, Cambridge.
