Biography: Became a bit of a 'come-back kid' when he signed a pro deal in 1995 having initially been released by the club. Russell was part of an impressive youth side that contained Darren Anderton, Andy Awford, and Kit Symons but unlike his team-mates, but his path to the first team was via a stint at his local club Lymington. He notched up 80 appearances before Frank Burrows took him to Cardiff City for £10,000 in 1999. He played for Luton Town and Bournemouth before retiring in May 2008.
