Biography: A hard tackling midfield player he played in the Football League between 1968-80. He was the youngest member of Burnleys F A Youth Cup winning side of 1968. During his career he suffered from injuries and retired from the game aged 28. He later became a publican in Boroughbridge. He died in 2004 aged 52.

Probert, Eric WENT TO HIS PUB HAD A FANTASTIC TIME HIS FAMILY WERE GREAT. WARNED US ABOUT DRINKING THEAKSTONS OLD PECULIAR. DRANK 10 PINTS AS A BET. DRANK PICKLE VINEGAR. WAS ILL FOR A WEEK. ERIC BEGGED ME NOT TO! LOL. GREAT PLACE AND MAN
