Biography: Spent two years in the United youth team before being offered professional terms by Ron Atkinson, but he never made the breakthrough into the first team squad and was allowed to join Norwich City when Sir Alex Ferguson was installed in the Old Trafford hot seat. Spent two years working as the Gills youth development officer, returned to Norfolk in 2000 and joined the prison service. Now works at Norwich Prison.

Ratcliffe, Simon Played with Simon in primary school football team. He was the youngest player in the team, and so obviously a class above.
