Birthplace: Altenburg, East Germany

Position: Centre-forward

Biography: East German centre forward with 6 caps, joined Saints on a free transfer toward the end of his playing career. He scored the last ever goal at The Dell in a friendly against Brighton. He was forced to retire when he was diagnosed with cancer in 2003, with an X-ray discovering that he had a tumour in his chest. He made a full recovery and was appointed manager of Lillestrom in 2005 , but left a year later to manage Viking. He left the club in November 2009. On 31 August 2010, he was hired by Molde FK on a short-term contract. He was replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjor three months later.
