Birthplace: Alyth, Perthshire, Scotland

Position: Left-back

Biography: The former miner moved to Stamford Bridge for £1,750 in November 1912 after spending a few months in the USA. He took over from Jock Cameron and did very well for two seasons before losing his place to Jack Harrow. His career was ended by the outbreak of the First World War, except for one game, while on the Fulham coaching staff, when a player missed the bus. Coached at Fulham, Walsall and Cliftonville, then went into the building trade in London in the 1930's. He died in November 1949 aged 69.
