Biography: Born 30/10/1929 in Ince near Wigan.Spotted by the scout who spotted Stanley Mathews. Played for Bolton Wanderers 1949-50 having played in Germany after the war. Sold to Bradford City for ?4000 playing alongside Brian Close. Retired when he was diagnosed with diabetes. Played non league for Colwyn Bay and Holywell Town. extremely quick winger who held army 100 metre and 200 metre sprint records. Sadly died in 1986 aged just 57

Sheridan, George George was my father in law, he had four children; Dawn, Jane, Karl and David and was married to Margaret, née Fleming.
