John Sillett

Position: Full-back

Biography: Brother of Peter, was a full back who gave nothing away. Signed after doing his national service. Made his league debut against Manchester United on New Years Day 1957 but he had to wait until the start of the 1958-59 season to become a first team regular, partnering his bother on the flanks for three seasons until he lost his place to Ken Shellito. Then left to start a love affair with Coventry City, which included winning the FA Cup as manager. Was chief scout for Portsmouth and then worked for Central Television and did some scouting for Sven Goran Eriksson but is now retired.
