Biography: Hailing from Prestbury, he joined United in 1961 making over 250 reserve team appearances without ever playing for the first team, and eventually leaving for Scunthorpe. Managed Bury, Port Vale, Swindon, Newport, Swansea then on to the coaching staff of Sheffield Wednesday until 1999. Also had spells at Hereford and Cardiff City.
