Starling, Ron Ron Starling was a pal of my dad, Dennis Groves. They played golf together with another Sheffield player, McKenzie. They all had shops on Middle Wood Road. We lived over the shop and he used to come to watch the cup final every year and were known to shout 'come on my bonney lad', a saying which still lives on in our family. He could not afford a television himself and had a son Malcom who used to walk his rabbit in the park.
