Stevenson, Willie I was at school with Willie. He married my neighbour Eleanor Irvine. Sadly the marriage did not last. Willie developed into being a fabulous football player with outstanding skills. I often wonder where Willie is now.

Stevenson, Willie I played with Willie a the Vancouver Whitecaps and fondly remembered Willie as a very good player and later as an asst coach with the team
I also coached with Willie at a soccer academy and he excelled at helping those young players with his knowledge, demonstrations and patience.
Willie apart from his soccer skills was a great guy to have in the dressing rooma nd his sense of humour calmed us down before the match.

Stevenson, Willie When I was about 11 (thinking around 1965) me and a few mates were having a kick about next to Burscough FC football ground when we spotted Willie doing laps. I guess he was just training or recovering from a knock. I spotted him and knew it was one of my heroes. We asked if he fancied a kick about with us. He did but I remember how competitive he was even against us kids. We hardly touched the ball.
