Birthplace: Ripley, Derbyshire

Position: Right-half/Forward

Biography: An England international who won 20 full caps. After retiring from football, he settled in his home town of Ripley in Derbyshire and worked as a poultry farmer. He died in October 1978 but the following year a room at the Ripley Leisure Centre was named the "Alf Strange Room" in his honour.
