Biography: Goalkeeper who joined for £2,000 as an 18 year old and went on to play 62 matches in the 1930's. The war effectively split his career into two halves, the latter portion being spent with Burnley where he made over 250 appearances. Strong remained in the area and ran a poultry farm until his death in 1989.
