Position: Inside-forward

Biography: A hard working, forceful Inside-left, Stubbs joined the club from his local club Southend in November 1952 for £10,000. He went on to score five goals in 27 games in the Blues 1955 Championship success under Ted Drake, one of which was the all-important equaliser at Wolves. A key player for three years, he eventually returned to Roots Hall in 1957 with the Blues making a £2,000 profit and signing Alan Dicks as part of the deal. Lives on Great Wakening High Street and worked for the Fire Brigade.
