Suckling, Perry I am happy to get a reply - I am locked-down in faraway North Sunderland during Covid 19, but I have been updating my book. Sadly we’ve lost 3 great keepers recently, Banks, Bonetti & Clemence.
Perry Suckling had just played for Man City v Chelsea,18.10.86 at Stamford Bridge, aged 21 ( Chelsea won 2-1, goals by Bumstead & Micky Hazard,) before he came down on loan. I wonder if he uses any ideas or techniques from his spell with Peter Bonetti and Eddie Niedzwicki with the Spurs trainees, Chelsea have had some great keepers recently, Ed de Goey, Petr Cech, 2 we’ve shared with Spurs Neil Sullivan & Carlo Cudicini, and Courtois ( not to mention Arrizaballaga! ) and Mendy looks good. Regards to Perry, Chelsea love playing Spurs they very rarely lose.
