Chris Sutton

Clubs played for: Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea, Celtic, Birmingham City, Aston Villa (1991-2007)

Born: 1973

Birthplace: Nottingham

Position: Striker

Biography: When Chelsea lost Pierluigi Casiraghi, Mark Hughes and Gianluca Vialli in the summer of 1999, they broke the club record and paid £10million to bring Sutton to Stamford Bridge. The move was hardly a success after he took eight games to break his duck with a goal against Manchester United. Then after a 28 game run of firing blanks and with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Eidur Gudjohnsen the first choice striking partnership, he was sold to Celtic at a £4million loss. Has been manager of League Two Lincoln City since September 2009.
