Biography: A strong tackling midfield player he played in the Football League between 1972-92. In total he made 643 League appearances scoring 88 goals. Best known for his time at Ipswich Town & Arsenal he won the F A Cup in consecutive seasons 1978 & 1979 after moving to Arsenal from Ipswich Town. He won six full caps for England between 1977-80. After his playing days had ended he became manager of Hibernians in Malta for three years. In 1997 he became manager of Rushden & Diamonds where he stayed for seven years. After short spells as Manager of Oldham Athletic & Oxford United he returned to Malta to manage Marsaxlokk in 2006. After a spell at Blackburn Rovers as a scout he was approached by Fulham in 2011 to do a similar job. He is still at Fulham & scouts both at home & abroad.
