Position: Defender

Biography: Was one of a number of young Scottish players brought to the club by Tommy Docherty but became a victim of his own versatility, playing in seven different positions during his time in the first team. He enjoyed his best run in 1966-67 after John Hollins asked for a transfer, making 29 of his 47 appearances. The arrival of Dave Sexton soon afterwards was the beginning of the end, as chances were fewer and further between and a £40,000 move to Burnley in September 1968 was the end result. He became a rep with a brewery then Commercial Manager of Burnley FC before working as a Sales Director with Ben Shaw's Soft Drinks Company in Huddersfield until returning to the brewery business. He still lives in Burnley.
