Biography: An amateur throughout his career, he was a studying to be a teacher when he made his only appearance for Blues in their 7-1 FA Cup defeat to Crystal Palace in November 1905. Served in the Royal Artillery in France during the First World War, then became a schoolmaster in Southampton until taking over the running of his father's sports shop in the city. He was also a Southampton director. Died in December 1962 aged 79.
