Position: Striker

Biography: Vine was a product of the Pompey youth set-up but struggled to force his way into the first team. Joined Luton Town in July 2005 for about £250,000 and became an instant hit. Consistent performances and a hatful of goals earned a £3.5 million move to Birmingham less than 18 months later. The midland side had just earned promotion to the Premiership but this proved to be a step too far for the Basingstoke born striker. He was loaned to Queens Park Rangers and eventually joined them permanently. In October 2010 the London club agreed to lend him to Hull City and ironically, one of his first games was against Pompey.
