Birthplace: Newton Heath, Manchester

Position: Defender /Defensive midfielder

Biography: A lifelong United fan who was born in Newton Heath, he joined the club as a trainee in April 1993, turning professional two years later. He helped United win the FA Youth Cup in 1995 and was named the club's Young Player of the Year 12 months later. He was a regular in the United reserve team when he made his debut in October 1997 in a 7-0 win over Barnsley. He was banned for life for grabbing a referee by the throat during a spell at Royal Antwerp, but it was later reduced on appeal. In 2000-2001, he played enough games to qualify for a Premier League winner's medal but after the 2001-2002 season, his contract wasn't renewed. Started a clothes business, D&R Designers in Failsworth.
