Ward, Gerry Gerry was a pub mate, he handled his cancer very bravely and wouldn't accept any sympathy. I last saw him on Christmas Day luchtime 1993, he had himself wheeled into our local in order to say goodbye to his drinking/crossword mates, he died the following month.
