Position: Central defender

Biography: Former England Centre-half with 65 Caps and four goals, started his career as a centre forward but was converted to defence by Bob Stokoe his manager at Sunderland, where he won a cup winners medal in 1973 He came to Southampton aged 33 having failed to settle in Germany with Werder Bremen, He played in Englands European group games 1980 eventually losing his place to Russell Osman. Since playing he lives in West Bridgford and runs his own sports management business Dave Watson International based in Nottingham.
