Birthplace: Welshpool, Wales

Position: Goalkeeper

Biography: An apprentice who was only registered for one game in May 1967 when he stood in for Peter Bonetti who was rested for the match against Leicester, two weeks before the FA Cup Final. He also travelled to the States with Chelsea when Bonetti was away on international duty Kingsley lived in Weymouth where he worked as a car salesman before helping out at his wife's hair salon until his death in December 2008. A keen golfer his family have donated the Kingsley VVhiffen Memorial Cup to the Dorset County Golf Union county under-16 champion.

Whiffen, Kingsley Kingsley was lovely guy bought several cars of him when he worked has car salesman in Plymouth, we had a lovely afternoon one Friday at the lopes arms in roborough we spoofed and laughed all afternoon, until about 8 o'clock that day we where going to play golf together, was not long after he left argyle, unfortunately it was the last time that day I saw him, he must have left the area, I was in car sales at that time, looking at old argyle players very sorry to hear Kingsley has passed away to soon condolences to his family bless him will Saunders
