Biography: Signed by his former Boro boss John Neal in September 1984 in a 50,000 deal plus Tony McAndrew, with the view to playing in midfield. Instead, he made the right back birth his own proving to be a valuable asset in the 1986 Full Members Cup winning side. He was at the club for the first half of the 1989 promotion winning campaign before moving to Sheffield Wednesday in a shock 450,000 transfer. An injury forced him to retire after just a handful of appearances. Returned to his home-town Scarborough where he helped his father in his fish wholesale business then started his own business supplying meat to delicatessen.
